SIPP RAM
or SIPPs combine several RAM chips on a single small circuit card that plugs
directly into a
memory slot
on the motherboard. A SIPP uses pins to connect to the motherboard memory
slot.
The advantage of SIPPs is they allow you to plug much more RAM into the
motherboard at a time. They usually come in 1 and 4MB capacities. This type
of RAM has been replaced by newer technology and is not commonly used today.
